Compassion in Action: Happy is back to life - a real success story

Dear Friends, that night, when suddenly the earth shook, I was very scared. Everybody was just terrified, screaming, shrieking and barking, and suddenly I was attacked by two dogs. I was so scared they would kill me, so I kicked them and tried to bite. Suddenly there was another quake and the dogs ran for their lives, but I was covered in the rubble and left defenseless, unable to free myself. I was very scared and didn't believe I was going to make it out alive. But I was very lucky, because the next morning, a truck arrived carrying hay. Two men found me under the rubble and saved me. When they saw my wounds, they took me to the sanctuary of the Helga Heidrich Foundation. I was on medication and my wounds were treated. I was a brave donkey and fought for my life! After a short time I was able to independently get up again. Today, I'm the luckiest donkey, because I got my life back. I would like to thank ALL of you on behalf of my friends in the Atlas Mountains, who are fed daily by the Fondation Helga Heidrich and all the dear people who take care of the animals and are touched by my story.
